U/18 Tournament Rules and Playing Dates
- Schools can decide how many teams, and how many players per team they want to bring. Each team/group may have a maximum of 25 players.
- If schools bring 2 teams/groups, they must please indicate whether the teams/groups are of equal strength or whether there is a strong group (A group) and a weaker group (B group).
- Each school can decide whether its teams/groups play 2 or 3 matches.
- Two day matches are played (Friday (5 Dec)&Monday (8 Dec) OR Saturday (6 Dec)&Tuesday (9 Dec).
- The three day match takes place Thursday (4 Dec)/Saturday (6 Dec) & Monday (8 Dec) or Tuesday (9 Dec).
- Team/group matches are 30 minutes a side (“playing time”) with a strategy/water break after 15 minutes.
- 10 reserves are allowed for each team. “Rolling subs” with unlimited number of times
- No goal kicks during the tournament
- No u/19 may play in the u/18 tournament: Boksmart Rules
- Entry fee is R350 per player
- 50% deposit must be paid by 23 September 2025, and full amount settled by end of October 2025.
U/15 Tournament Rules and Playing Dates
Teams may have a maximum of 25 players.
- 10 reserves are allowed for each team. “Rolling subs” with unlimited number of times
- No kicks at the goal
- Matches are 23 minutes a side (“playing time”).
Yellow and Red Cards
- Teams’ yellow cards will be 4 minutes (running time).
- If a player receives a red card the following rules will apply…
- Teams’ red cards will be 7 minutes (playing time), after which the player must be replaced by a reserve.
- The player is then left to his school’s internal disciplinary process.
- If the school after the internal disciplinary process feels that the player still needs to play the next match, SIX GUN GRILL Summer Sport Festival will have no problem with that.
U/12 Tournament Rules and Playing Dates
- Each team will play 5 matches as determined by the organizers.
- Matches are 15 minutes a side (“running time”).
- Maximum of 8 reserves are allowed during the matches, of which a full extra front row is mandatory.
- Running subs as many times as you want.
- B-team matches are also 15 minutes a side (“running time”).
- B-team matches only need to have a maximum of 5 reserves.
- If a school decides to enter only one team, a maximum of 23 players are invited.
