Now you can show your love and appreciation for your school’s brand by competition in a team environment against other Old Boys. This competition will be played over 2 days with 1 round of golf each day to determine the OLD BOYS SUMMER GOLF CHAMPS
Teams will play against a ‘specific school’ on the day which can be on request, but they will also play against the entire field which will be the competition element making this a very unique but very intriguing way to fights for your school’s bragging rights.
Games will be played Sunday the 7th of December 2024 and Monday morning the 8th of December 2024.
Accommodation will be for the responsibility of the teams themselves.
Competition rules for this to take part in:
- Each team will consist of 8 players.
- All teams must be approved and signed off by the school they represent.
- At least 5 of the 8 players must be Old Boys from the school.
- 3 Parents of kids that were/are in the school will be allowed.
- 1 x sponsor not directly affiliated to the school will be allowed.
- The 8 players will play in two balls x 4 against a specific other school on the day for their internal battle.
- However, the combined better ball stable fort points for the 4 x two balls per day will be added together to determine the winners after the 2 rounds.
- All players must have formal handicaps and must have played at least 3 rounds of golf this year which is shown on the handicap system.
A maximum of 32 teams will be allowed to take part in the event. A maximum of 2 teams per school will be allowed.
Entries will open 1 May
All teams are requested to have their own golf attire and look like a team on the day.
