1. Competition Model

Age Groups and Genders:

• Age Categories: 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-18
• Genders: Boys and Girls

2. Competition Rules

• Events:
  • Swimming: 50m (7-12) and 100m (13-18) distances in the 5-lane pool.
  • Running: 400m (7-12), and 800m (13-18) distances on the 8-lane track.
    • Format: Each participant completes a running event followed by a swimming event.
    • Scoring: Use the SA Biathlon point system to determine the rankings of teams. At the end of the competition, all participants scores per team will be added together to determine the school that wins the competition
